Bridie is affectionately known as The Girl From Donegal. County Donegal is where Bridie was born. She shot to fame in 1956 with her recording of A Mother's Love's A Blessing and went on to international success with her legendary rendition of The Boys from the Country Armagh. She has appeared in leading venues all over the world. Bridie has semi-retired now and still lives in Belfast. She is currently adding the finishing touches to her autobiography. These are the original recordings that were released on the Decca label and made Bridie an International Star.
